Sunday 10th August 2008. A very short but extremly mountainous stage of only 82 km but with 2300 m of total climb. It was a special trip in the Austrian Alps in the surroundings of Göstling an der Ybbs with a huge climb to Hochkar as a highlight of the day. It was over 30 °C in the sun down in the valley and around 20 high in the mountains.
